Trans Atlantic Way Day 9 and 10 Report

Posted February 26, 2020 in 2019 Trans Atlantic Way by Mark Croker 4 Comments

Friday June 14, 2019: Given the late finish the previous night I'd given myself permission to "sleep in" to 6:30 am, which still only gave me around 4 and a half hours sleep. Quite obviously not enough but I'd be barking up the wrong tree if...

Thursday June 13, 2019: I'm up at 5 am with a clarity of purpose. Two and a half days to bang out 700 kilometers, a big chunk of which will need to be completed today. The reality of being 2 days behind my pre-race plan is...

Tuesday June 11, 2019: It had been a late finish yesterday and I'd been so wired from such an exhilarating day that I hadn't managed to actually fall asleep until well after 2:00 am. I thus gave myself permission to "sleep in" to 7:15 am....

Monday June 10, 2019: My alarm woke me from a damn fine sleep at 4:30 am. I was feeling good, well rested although my quads were really sore. Bizarre, never really suffered from quad soreness from cycling before. Maybe my saddle height has shifted? Who knows. I...

Saturday June 8, 2019: My alarm woke me at 4:30am but I wasn't ready to be awake. It was cold outside the warm embrace of my sleeping bag and I burrowed in further keeping the world at bay for a little while longer. 45 minutes later I...

I AM WRITING A BOOK

Yes I blogged about my 2017 Trans Am experience but there is so much more to be said. It is taking a while but it is absolutely going to get done. Should you want to receive updates on how the book writing is going please sign up below.

About Me

Hi, my name is Mark and I am a cyclist, a MAMIL Cyclist. I ride my bike whenever and wherever I get the chance. It is the means by which I keep my recalcitrant waistline under relative control. It is my hobby. It is my passion. It is my therapy. It now feeds my creative outlet in the form of this blog.

That is the short story, the longer (much longer) story is here.
